Kensington Architectural Academy
POLICIES
01. Legal & Terms of Service
Legal Statement
Kensington Architectural Academy (KAA) provides independent educational, professional development and advisory services. We provide reviews, consultations and feedback as guidance only; these do not constitute architectural, legal, employment or other regulated professional services.
We do not guarantee academic, employment, professional, competition or application outcomes. Clients remain responsible for their own work, decisions, submissions and compliance with the requirements of their university, employer, professional body or other relevant organisation.
We review and advise on work submitted by clients; we do not undertake assessed academic work, design projects, portfolios or applications on their behalf.
02. Professional Ethics
Ethics Statement
Our guiding principle is simple: we help people improve their own work; we do not do the work for them.
Our role is to review, question, critique and advise. We may identify weaknesses, suggest improvements, discuss design approaches and provide professional or educational guidance, but the authorship and development of the work must remain with the individual.
We will not produce assessed work, drawings, designs or submissions for students. We will not misrepresent the experience, qualifications, authorship or professional competence of graduates and professionals.
Our aim is to support independent thinking, learning and professional development while maintaining academic and professional integrity.
03. Confidentiality & Privacy
Confidentiality Statement
We treat client work, discussions and personal information shared with us for a review as confidential. We use material you provide to assess and deliver the service agreed with you and to maintain the records needed for that work.
Access to submitted work is limited to the two founders of KAA for the purpose of the agreed review. We do not share or publish client work without the client’s written consent, unless disclosure is required by law.
Please do not attach portfolio, CV, design, thesis or journal paper files to your first email. We will discuss whether the service is suitable and agree how materials should be provided and handled before the review begins.
For questions about confidential material or how we handle personal information, contact KAA. Our Privacy Information explains how information submitted through service registration is handled.
